This Author can be guaranteed to provide an interesting read. While her characters are fairly predictible, that just means you are guaranteed that, no matter how cranky and obnoxious they are, you are guaranteed a happy ending.

I often spend half the book laughing my ass off, which, in my opinion, is the sign of good writing. And while the stories tend to end abruptly, the reader is left satisfied that the story has been wrapped up....even if she still wants more!!

I agree, I've found a new "favorite" writer!

Side note: I agree with a previous reviewer who mentioned that the cover art for the book is not quite right. She pegged it. Stand the woman up and she would tower over the man.

But the bottom line is, this story is definetly worth the money and the time to read if you are looking for a bit of escapism with sex and a happy ending!

Its fun to read on long trips and not a real mental work out to keep up with the story.

The tag lines are more interesting then the book. But this book did pass the time. If your bored..read it and you will be okay. Just don't pay too much for it.
The book had no story line. I had read the first one and was sorely disappointed. I went to read the reviews and was inspired by the comments of praise regarding this second book, where as the first one had horrible reviews. So I decided to give it a shot. Needless to say, I will not be reading the third book.
Love this author! She writes stories with interesting characters, good character development and puts them in all sorts of unusual situations. In this story, the heroine gets kidnapped and transported to another planet with a group of other women from earth. The author does a great job of describing the new world and it's inhabitants. Warning - it does get fairly steamy. Unlike so many romance/erotica stories these days, the plot is primary, and the sex is secondary. Great book. I've reread it many times!
Miranda, the 'heroine' in this story is actually my favorite out of all the women of the "Enslaved" series. Although the earth women of this book had it the easiest, I did like that Miranda was an extremely strong character despite that fact that she was actually just as useless as the others. Like some of O'Connor's other books this one has too much narration for me so, I found myself skipping through quite a bit to get to the point.

If you've read either of the other books from this series you'll find that its practically the same, just a different setting. However, I did enjoy the book once I skipped the stuff I didn't care about, and found that I wanted everything to work out for them (which it does, of course, since its a romance novel).
I got this one on the strength of the "The Gladiators" which is the 3rd book in this series although nor real need to read them in order. I appreciate the strong female character (thank you Ms. O'Connor for usually being consistent on this) but felt the heroes were clods. Here it is that they have these nice underwater homes and I can appreciate they need to spend their time getting ready for the next trade, but seriously, they couldn't figure out that some kind of shelter needed to be erected for the women??!!!

I did think the author was realistic and at times funny with her depiction of the lazy, arrogant women in the kidnapped group. It only makes sense in the law of averages.

Wish the characters of the men had been more developed.

Overall this author is quite reliable, but definitely this is one of the weaker stories.
